Marriage Information
Municipal Court Weddings
Wedding ceremonies may be performed at the Lake Forest Park Municipal Courthouse Monday through Friday at 4:30 p.m. and may also be performed at other locations and times, subject to the availability of the Judge.
Marriage License
The Judge can perform the wedding three days after the date the license is issued. The license is valid for only a 60-day period. Please contact the Snohomish County Recorder's Office or King County Recorder's Office for more information about marriage licenses.
Marriage Ceremony
At the time of the ceremony, you will be required to have two (2) people (other than the couple being married) over 18 years of age with you to witness the ceremony. The Court does not provide witnesses for the ceremony. Please bring your wedding license and certificate with you.
The Judge has 30 days from the date of the ceremony to return the Department of Health Certificate of Marriage to the county recording office. They will verify and record the certificate. Once this process is complete, you may request certified copies of your marriage certificate. Certified copies can be used as proof of marriage. Certified copies are not automatically sent to married couples.
