Public Records
The Lake Forest Park Municipal Court is committed to providing full access to public records in accordance with Washington Court Rule GR 31. It is the policy of the court to facilitate access to court records as provided by article 1, section 10 of the Washington State Constitution. Access to court records in not absolute and shall be consistent with reasonable expectations of personal privacy and shall not unduly burden the business of the court.
A presumption of access applies to the judiciary's administrative records in accordance with Washington Court Rule GR 31.1, effective January 1, 2016.
Court staff will notify you when the records are available. After fees have been paid, copies may be picked up at the court during regular business hours from 9:00 am to 5:00pm.
Procedures:
A public record request to the court may be submitted by completing the Records Request Form.

The Public Records Officer will respond to your request for records within five (5) working days of its receipt.
Fees:
A fee may not be charged to view court records.
A fee may be charged for photocopying or scanning records at .15 per page unless other wise specified.
Certified documents: $5.00 per certified document (first page)
$1.00 per certified document (each additional page)
Postage: (actual cost)
A fee not to exceed $30 per hour may be charged for research and preparation services required to fulfill a request taking longer than one (1) hour.
The court may require a deposit in an amount not to exceed the estimated cost of providing copies for a request.
Additional time required to respond to a request may be based upon the need to clarify the intent of the request, to locate and assemble the information requested, to notify third party persons or agencies affected by the request, or to determine whether any of the information requested is exempt and that a denial should be made as to all or part of the request. In acknowledging receipt of a public record request that is unclear, the court may ask the requestor to clarify what information the requesting is seeking.
