Josh Rosenau has lived in Lake Forest Park since 2017. Having grown up mostly in the New York area, he studied in Chicago and Kansas, then moved to the Bay Area, where he met his wife and started a family. In time, they were drawn to Lake Forest Park to raise their children among the trees, the walkable streets, and third places.

Education and Professional Experience

Josh Rosenau is a graduate of the University of Chicago in ecology and evolutionary biology, with additional graduate studies at the University of Kansas. He has worked for nonprofits to defend evolution and climate change in public school science classes, to bring science policy into campaigns nationwide, and to protect cougars, orcas, and salmon and the wild places they rely on. He has brought his passion for climate action and science-based policy to local PTAs and other volunteer advocacy efforts as well.
