Hybrid Planning Commission Meetings

Public Comment at Regular Hybrid Planning Commission Meetings

Citizen Comments

The Planning Commission will accept oral Citizen Comments during its regular meetings. Meetings are now held in the hybrid format in person at City Hall and remotely via Zoom. Written comments will no longer be read by staff.

To provide an oral Citizen Comment remotely, please join the meeting through the Zoom application by computer, mobile device, or telephone, and, when asked to do so by the presiding officer, use the “Raise a Hand” function in Zoom. Instructions on how to raise a hand (over the computer and the telephone) will be provided by the presiding officer at the time oral comments are called for. The Zoom webinar information for each meeting is provided on the agenda. A request to speak can also be made directly to the Planning Director at 206-957-2812 before 5:00 p.m. on the date of the meeting.

To provide an oral Citizen Comment in person at the meeting, please indicate you would like to speak by raising your hand so the presiding officer can call on you. Each speaker is allotted three (3) minutes. Please begin your comments by stating your name and any organization represented. Please be advised your comments are being recorded. The meeting host will serve as the timekeeper and will notify you when your time has expired.

Persons who attend the meeting via telephone and wish to provide oral comments will need to use *9 to raise/lower a hand and *6 to mute/unmute.

Speakers providing oral comments remotely must have their full name fully displayed within the Zoom application. Anonymous comments will not be allowed.

When it is time for Citizen Comments, the meeting host will first call on those attending virtually, followed by those attending in person. Each speaker is allotted three (3) minutes. The meeting host will serve as the timekeeper and will notify you when your time has expired.
