Lorri Bodi was born in Rhode Island and moved to the Pacific Northwest in the 1970s. In 1990, she and her husband moved to Lake Forest Park, where they raised their two children. Her son and daughter both attended Shoreline schools and graduated from Shorecrest High School. Along the way, she was active in the PTA, writing grant applications that brought funds for extra programs and supplies, and initiated a "teacher wish list" to match parent donations with classroom needs.

Education and Professional Experience

Lorri Bodi is an attorney with an extensive background in natural resources law and policy, emphasizing collaboration, tribal and other governmental partnerships, and negotiated resolution of complex issues. She previously served as Executive Vice President for Environment at the federal Bonneville Power Administration, where she oversaw conservation land and water acquisitions, river and estuary habitat restoration, storm water management, and other environmental programs. Before that, she established and served as Co-Director of the Northwest Office of American Rivers (a national conservation group), and as an attorney for both NOAA and EPA. Lorri received a BA summa cum laude and an MS from the University of Pennsylvania, and her JD with honors from George Washington University.
